King Abdullah of Jordan receives Hamdan bin Zayed

AMMAN: HM King Abdullah II of Jordan yesterday expressed his appreciation for the U.A.E. for assisting his country in receiving the Syrian refugees and providing them with food and medical assistance. King Abdullah's remarks came during a meeting yesterday with H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, and the President of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), in the Jordanian capital, Amman. The meeting tackled ways to enhance bilateral ties in all fields so as to serve the mutual interests of the brotherly countries and peoples. King Abdullah affirmed his country's sincere desire to advance the U.A.E.-Jordan ties in various spheres. During the meeting, Sheikh Hamdan conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the Jordanian monarch and his wishes for good health and happiness. He also wished further progress and prosperity to the Jordanian people. Sheikh Hamdan also conveyed the greetings of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the U.A.E. Armed Forces, to King Abdullah, who reciprocated his best wishes for the U.A.E. leaders. On his part, Sheikh Hamdan commended the substantial efforts being made by Jordan to provide various kinds of humanitarian assistance to the Syrian refugees, and the assistance and cooperation accorded to the ERC aid workers and other U.A.E. relief and medial agencies to accomplish their humanitarian mission towards the Syrian refugees.
