Kosovo's President, Prime Minister receives Abdullah bin Zayed

Pristina: Kosovo's President, Atifete Jahjaga received yesterday in Pristina, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, who is currently visiting Kosovo. During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations and ways to enhance them between the two countries in addition to issues of mutual interest. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the President of Kosovo and his keenness to bolster the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, as well as his best wishes of permanent progress and prosperity for Kosovo. During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah emphasised UAE's keenness to enhance ties and develop cooperation with Kosovo in all fields of mutual interest. On her part, President of Kosovo asked Sheikh Abdullah to convey her greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa, expressing her pride over the rapid development of bilateral relations in all fields between the UAE and Kosovo. She also underscored her country's keenness to develop avenues of bilateral relations, especially in the economic, tourist and investment domains thanks to what the UAE enjoys of a growing economic, investment and trade exchange in the region, in addition to its remarkable cultural developments, which have earned the UAE a good and prestigious reputation among the countries of the world. Afterwards, Sheikh Abdullah met also with Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister of Kosovo and conveyed to him the greetings of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Hashim Thaci reciprocated greetings to the Vice President and the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, wishing more progress and prosperity for the UAE. During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah affirmed the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Kosovo in addition to the two countries leadership's keenness to activate and develop ties as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation channels between the two countries. The Prime Minister of Kosovo praised what the UAE secures of investment environment which contributed to attracting investments and made the UAE a main trade centre in the region and a destination for international companies to launch their operations from the UAE to countries of the region, wishing more progress and success for UAE in various fields. The meeting also reviewed the existing cooperation and friendship relations between the UAE and Kosovo, as well as ways to enhance efforts to bolster bilateral relations in all aspects. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
