Kuwaiti Diplomat: Iran Plays Key Role In Resolving Regional Issues

Moscow, Feb 29, IRNA - Kuwaiti Ambassador to Moscow Naser Khaja al-Mozaiyan said on Tuseday Iran plays a key role in solving regional issues. He told IRNA that Iran, as a great country, is an important factor for regional stability, hence Kuwat has always been interested in maintaining close and friendly relations with it. Pointing to Iran-Kuwait friendly relations, al-Mozaiyan said the two countries hold constant consultations and cooperate in preserving regional security. Iran as a friendly neighbor of all regional states and nations is an important country with which all Arab members Persian Gulf Cooperation Council are interested in deepening their friendly relations,” he said. The diplomat underlined the need for peaceful settlement of Iran’s nuclear issue and said all regional countries are interested in solving the issue through negotiations and talks and therefore they all do their utmost to have a secure and stable region. Al-Mozaiyan expressed his country’s readiness to welcome Iran’s proposal to establish a “Gas OPEC” with participation of all regional countries and said all PGCC member states also support the idea as well./end
