Kyrgyzstan establishes diplomatic relations with Republic of Nauru

Bishkek, Feb.4, 2020. /Kabar/. Diplomatic relations have been established between Kyrgyzstan and Nauru, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said. "On Feb. 31, 2020 the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Nauru have established diplomatic relations. Joint Communiqué on establishing diplomatic relations has been signed in New York by Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations Mirgul Moldoisayeva and Permanent Representative of the Republic of Nauru to the UN Marlene Moses,” the report says. The text of the Joint Communiqué notes that the sides have established diplomatic relations, guided by the principles and objectives of the UN Charter and international law, in particular, respect for and strengthening of international peace and security, equality between states, respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state, independence, compliance with international treaties and non-interference in the internal affairs of states. After the signing ceremony of the Joint Communiqué, the two sides expressed their mutual intention to develop friendly relations and cooperation between states within the UN and other international organizations, as well as support each other's candidacy for international bodies through the UN.
