Kyrgyzstan propose Belarus to open direct Minsk-Bishkek flight

Bishkek, Feb.6, 2020 /Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Ermek Ibrayimov met in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk with Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Kukharev.
At the meeting, the sides considered the issues of bilateral relations, including the intensification of trade and economic cooperation and opportunities to increase trade turnover between the countries.
Ibrayimov and Kukharev also discussed preparations for the 9th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
Vladimir Kukharev suggested to synchronize their watches for future events regarding what should be done or considered additionally to give a new impetus to the development of relations between the two countries.
Ermek Ibrayimov expressed gratitude to the Belarusian side for supporting the decision to raise the status of chairmanship of the Intergovernmental Commission to the level of Deputy Prime Ministers.
"We are now preparing for the Intergovernmental Commission at all levels. We share the view of Belarus and the fact that our volume of economic relations does not correspond to the potential of the countries. We hope that in the near future this area will receive additional impetus. According to the mutual statistics we have a positive growth in trade and economic relations," said the Kyrgyz ambassador.
He also noted the interest of the Kyrgyz side in the program of preferential financing and financial mechanisms of export support of the Belarusian side.
In addition, Ermek Ibrayimov informed that in order to expand the geography of flights, the Kyrgyz side decided to grant the fifth freedom to foreign operators unilaterally, and appealed to the Belarusian side to consider opening direct Minsk-Bishkek flights by Belavia.
