Larijani: Iran’s Future Ties With IAEA Depends On Its Performance
Tehran, Nov. 20, IRNA – Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran’s future relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) depend on the UN nuclear watchdog’s performance.
He made the remarks here Sunday while talking to reporters at the sideline of an exhibition in the parliament.
He said the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis was considering a plan to reconsider ties with the UN nuclear body.
Stressing that the recent report by the IAEA chief Yukia Amano was unrealistic, he stressed that necessary measures should be taken to convey the truth to the world people in order to illuminate the international public opinion on the issue.
Larijani further noted that the IAEA is deviating from its due course of activities and mandate and therefore Iran will form its future ties with the agency based on its behavior.
The speaker also stressed that Tehran will certainly take necessary measures if the IAEA tries to violate any of its rights./end
