Larijani: West Displeased With Regional Developments

Palembang, Jan 31, IRNA – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Monday that the West does not consider regional developments, including those taking place in Egypt and Tunisia, in its favor, so it creates problems for these countries. Speaking to a Lebanese parliamentary delegation on the sidelines of the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly meeting, Larijani said the West wants to politicize all regional developments. “They are unhappy with many events happening in the region.” The Lebanese parliamentarians for their part lauded Iran’s “highly important” role in regional developments, saying the Islamic Revolution of Iran has inspired recent Middle East events over the past 30 years.
