LAW ON FOOD ADOPTED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A plenary meeting of the parliamentary session Thursday adopted a draft wording of the law on food and related to it draft laws after last-stage discussion. It has taken 68.8 per cent votes of MPs. The draft wording of the law and other bills and draft amendments to laws were submitted to the State Great Khural early December of 2011. First discussions ran at a plenary meeting December 5, later, they were passed to the Standing committee on environment, food and agriculture for a preparation for the last discussion. Then, this Standing committee carried out the last discussion December 12, reflecting some proposals from MPs and making some amendments to the draft new wording and bills, said Ts.Tsolmon MP. After this, the plenary meeting approved a draft law on ensuring a food safety at last discussion, with 70.4 per cent votes. B.Khuder
