LAWS ON PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION AND ON LABOUR AMENDED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its plenary meeting on Friday afternoon, the parliamentary session adopted a draft new wording of the law on Presidential election. It has been adopted on the ground of a majority of the MPs' votes and a conclusion of related Standing committee. It says, for example, that the Presidential election will be organized after June 21 the next year. The same day, a majority of MPs adopted draft amendments to the laws on the State Great Khural. This amendment has allowed the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) officially set up its faction. In addition, a draft amendment to the law on labour was approved that day. Following this amendment, final discussions on other draft amendments to the laws ran on supporting employment, on labour safety, on hygiene, on vocational training and on education. There was no principal controversy on these amendments during discussions at the Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and science. B.Khuder
