L.BOLD MEETS FM OF SLOVAKIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On the fields of the 9th meeting of the ASEM Summit in Laos, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Bold met on Tuesday Mr Miroslav Laichak, Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs. The two sides exchanged views on the bilateral cooperation, for example, Mr Laichak said Slovakia wants to intensify the cooperation with Mongolia. Next year, the Prime Minister of Slovakia plans to visit Mongolia, he said and invited the Mongolian Foreign Minister to Slovakia with a visit. He noted that the two countries have an opportunity to develop the collaboration in the mining, transportation, energy production, nuclear and renewable energy and agricultural sectors, and said his country is ready to augment scholarships for Mongolian students. Slovakia's FM congratulated Mongolia on successfully chairing the Community of Democracies (CoD), and supported a willingness of Mongolia to become a participating state of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). In response, Mr Bold appreciated the upcoming visit of Slovakia's PM to Mongolia which will coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Mongolia-Slovakia diplomatic relations. He proposed establishing a permanent mechanism of the bilateral cooperation, and underlined an importance of realizing joint projects. The Foreign Minister gave Mr Laichak an invitation to the 7th Ministerial Conference of the CoD which will run April 29 of 2013 in Ulaanbaatar. B.Khuder
