Lebanese back the Islamic Republic: Iranian ambassador

QOM, Jan.7 (MNA) – Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghazanfar Roknabadi said that most of the Lebanese back the Islamic Republic of Iran. Roknabadi made the remarks during a meeting on the Middle East developments with political analysts and other officials in the representative office of the Iranian Foreign Ministry in Qom late Thursday. He said that the balance of power in the region is in favor of "the resistance forces", adding that the enemies try to "disturb" this balance through their numerous plots. The Iranian diplomat decried the aggressive policies of the Westerners and expressed hope that the awakened nations of the Middle East would continue their resistance until they get to a desirable result. "The Islamic Republic, according to its Constitution, supports not only Shia countries but it defends all the oppressed all over the universe," Roknabadi concluded.
