Lebanese Minister, Roknabadi Discuss Abducted Iranians' Case

Beirut, Jan 30, IRNA -- Islamic Republic of Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Roknabadi, conferred with Lebanese Interior Minister Marwan Charbel here on Sunday and discussed the situation of seven Iranian engineers abducted in Syria and their transfer to north Lebanon. Asked about the measures taken after it was revealed that the Iranian engineers were transferred to north Lebanon, Iranian envoy said that he has called on the Lebanese interior minister to carry out necessary investigations in this regard. Roknabadi noted that Interior Minister Charbel will inform Iranian Embassy in Beirut of the results of the investigations by Interior Ministry. Several news outlets reported on Saturday that the kidnapped Iranian engineers had been transferred to northern Lebanon.
