Lebanese Politicians Congratulate Iran’s Nuclear Achievements

Beirut, Feb 20, IRNA – A number of Lebanese politicians and leaders of political parties in separate messages congratulated the Iranian nation and government on major achievement of uranium enrichment by 20 percent. Sheikh Afif Nablosi, prominent Lebanese Shia scholar and head of Saida Seminary, south Lebanon, in a meeting with members of Lebanese Democratic Party commended Iran’s nuclear achievements and said that it reveals Iranian capabilities in science and technology. Referring to the sanctions imposed by the West on Iran, he noted that despite the sanctions, Iran managed to make great strides in various fields. In the meantime, Lebanon's Islamic Amal Front in another message hailed Iran’s nuclear achievements and said that capabilities of the Iranian scientists in enrichment of uranium is a great achievement in line with attaining self-sufficiency. Supporting Iran’s right to nuclear energy, the Front said that Iran’s progress in scientific fields is a victory for all the Muslims across the world. IRNA reporter in Beirut said that leaders of March 8 Alliance also attended Iran’s Embassy in Beirut and congratulated Iran’s nation and government on the great successes./end
