Libyan NTC delegation to visit Iran in near future: report

TEHRAN,Nov.8 (MNA) – A Libyan National Transitional Council (NTC) team planned to make a trip to Tehran in the near future, the NTC vice chairman said. During an interview , Abdul Hafiz Ghoga also thanked Iran for its support for the revolutionary people of Libya and said, “We received a large amount of humanitarian aid from the Islamic Republic for which we are really grateful.” He also expressed satisfaction with the recent visit of the Iranian delegation to Libya and described the one-day trip of Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi as positive and constructive. Salehi met with Mustafa Abdul Jalil, the chairman of the NTC, in Benghazi on Thursday. During his meeting, Salehi said that the Islamic Republic is keen to share its experiences in various areas with the post-Gaddafi government in Libya. Salehi, who was the first Iranian official to visit Libya since the pro-democracy uprisings erupted in the country on February 15, conveyed the messages of congratulation sent by the Supreme Leader and the president to the Muslim nation of Libya.
