Maktoum bin Mohammed receives Chief Minister of Jersey

Dubai (WAM): H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai received here yesterday in the Executive Office of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chief Minister of Jersey, Senator Ian Gorst and his accompanying delegation. Sheikh Maktoum welcomed the Chief Minister of Jersey, noting that the visit would contribute to bolstering communication between the two sides. Sheikh Maktoum and Senator Gorst exchanged views on bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in the best interest of both friendly peoples. They tackled cooperation in all domains between the UAE and Jersey, focusing on exchange of ideas and expertise in the economic and tourism fields. For his part, Senator Gorst hailed the distinguished political and trade relations between the two sides, adding that the visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the bilateral relations. Obaid bin Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, other senior officials and Edward Hubert, British Consul General in Dubai attended the meeting. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
