Many excluded ministers bid farewell to officials
BANGKOK, October 29 (TNA) - Many excluded ministers in Thailand's latest Cabinet reshuffle, approved by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on Sunday, bade farewell to officials at their respective ministries Monday morning.
Former education minister Suchart Thadathamrongvej thanked his subordinates when bidding farewell to them, saying that he hoped the officials would help finish the education ministry's unaccomplished mission.
Sakda Khongphet, who lost his seat as a deputy education minister, told his ministry's officials that he particularly wishes his successor to proceed with an official investigation into alleged corruption in the procurement of equipment for vocational schools.
Former public health minister Wittaya Buranasiri and former deputy public health minister Surawit Khonsomboon also bade farewell to their officials.
Witthaya praised good cooperation from the officials at all levels during his tenure as the minister, saying people should, thus, benefit from the Ministry of Public Health's services but asking the officials to keep improving the services of local hospitals, as he believes the government will continue to attach great importance to the work of the Public Health Ministry.
