Marty: People Of Rakhine Should Trust One Another

Jakarta, Jan 9 (ANTARA) - People of Rakhine, Myanmar, should trust one another, said Indonesia`s Foreign Affairs Minister, Marty Natalegawa, on Wednesday. "The people of Rakhine should trust one another," said the minister, after visiting Rakhine. He said people who are living in areas affected by conflicts, are determined to recover quickly. Apart from financial support, people of Rakhine need food and shelter. Marty thanked the government of Myanmar for inviting him to Rakhine. "The government of Myanmar is keen to get advice from the international community," he said. The minister was in Rakhine from January 7 to 8, as a follow-up to the bilateral meeting between the presidents of the two countries earlier. During his two-day visit, Marty visited areas in Rakhine affected by conflicts, including Kyauktaw, Maunday, Pauktaw and Sittwe.
