Meeting of CA leaders in Tashkent starts in extended format

Tashkent, Nov.29, 2019. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov is taking part in the Second Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asia States. The Meeting is being held in capital city of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. After narrow format talks, heads of Central Asian states moved to the Great Session Hall to participate in the meeting in an extended format. According to the Kyrgyz President’s press service, the agenda of the Meeting includes the expansion of regional cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian and other areas. The event is expected to result in the adoption of the final document. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan-Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Tajikistan-Emomali Rahmon, Turkmenistan- Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Uzbekistan- Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev are taking part in the Meeting. The initiative to hold regular Consultative Meetings of heads of state of Central Asian states was put forward by President of Uzbekistan during the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in September 2017. The First Consultative Meeting was held on Mar.15, 2018 in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
