M.ENKHBOLD BECOMES THIRD VICE SPEAKER

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Nominated from the Mongolian People's Party's (MPP) faction, M.Enkhbold was elected the Vice Speaker of parliament at a plenary meeting of the parliamentary session on Thursday. He was backed by the parliamentary Standing committee on state structure on Tuesday. In respect of the law on parliament, the State Great Khural has Vice Speakers who represent every faction, political party or a coalition, so he was selected as the Deputy Speaker and added to two current S.Bayartsogt (faction of Democratic Party) and L.Tsog ("Justice" coalition). "I intend to focus in my work on improvement of the city people's life and on a support to budget and economy," Mr Enkhbold said after the voting, responding to J.Batzandan MP's question. He also expressed his position towards amending of the Constitution of Mongolia, willing to alter it because "it should reflect more matters on the state participation and localities issues." J.Batzandan MP asked the new Vice Speaker to focus on regulating the lands relations in the city. Enkhbold Miyegombo was born in 1964 in Ulaanbaatar. He graduated from the School of Economics at the Mongolian State University (MSU) majoring in economics, and has defended a master degree. He has worked as the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city, as a member of cabinet, as the Deputy Prime Minister and as the secretary of the MPP. B.Khuder
