MINISTER OF JUSTICE MEETS TURKISH DELEGATION
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The cooperation in justice sector between Mongolia and the Republic of Turkey, especially between the Domestic Army and the Turkish Gendarmerie, has been intensively developing from the year 2004.
The Minister of Justice Kh.Temuujin said it Friday at a meeting with a delegation, led by the Colonel-General Bekir Kalyoncu, the General Commander of Turkish Gendarmerie. They are paying an official visit by invitation of Colonel B.Bilegt, the head of the General Police Department (GPD) and the Commander of the Domestic Army.
The Mongolian Domestic Army in 2010 joined the Declaration established among domestic armies of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, and will take part in the declaration's actions, the Minister noted.
He said the cabinet for refoms wants to improve abilities of the domestic army, especially in anti-terrorism actions and social security, and proposed training our troops under leadership of the Turkish instructors and letting the Mongolian side get au fait with the Turkish Gendarmerie.
In response, Mr Kalyoncu thanked the Minister for the audience and said Turkey is ready to realize the Minister's requests. Mentioning that 26 Mongolian cadets are studying in the Police Academy of Turkey, he said the Gendarmerie wants to involve Mongolians in its trainings.
The Colonel-General Bekir Kalyoncu asked the Mongolian side to focus on easing the visa terms for the Turkish people.
