MINISTER FOR MINING RECIEVES EU AMBASSADORS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Minister for Mining, D.Gankhuyag received Ambassadors and Non-Resident ambassadors of the Member states of the European Union to Mongolia on November 22. Mr Gankhuyag thanked the EU and its member for the assistance to Mongolia to become the 57th member of the Organizations for Security and cooperation in Europe /OSCE/. Then he spoke about policies of the mining sector. Mining projects and programmes have become clear which will be implemented in 2012-2016 in Mongolia, “Ouy tolgoi” project is successful, negotiations are underway to solve infrastructure and railroad issues of the “Tavan tolgoi” project, the Sainshand industrial park has chosen its advisor company, and the Government intends to establish an oil processing industry within four years, he said. The EU Ambassador to Mongolia Markus Ederer asked about the “Ouy tolgoi”. The Minister replied that the government of Mongolia and the project investors understand each other, the government wants all to obey laws, rules and duties, and that the government and the investors would inform the public about matters they agreed on.
