Minister: Turkey to continue fighting against terrorism

Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan.23 By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend: Turkey will continue fighting against Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations, the country's Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said, Turkish Anadolu agency reported on Jan.23. Ankara pursues a strict policy in the sphere of fighting against terrorism and intends to continue it in the future, according to the minister. Meanwhile, Bozdag stressed that despite of the policy pursued by Ankara in the sphere of fighting against terrorism, some countries accuse Turkey of supporting terrorist organizations. Bozdag explained this position of a number of countries with the fact that Ankara supports the Syrian nation. The minister pointed out that Turkey intends to support the Syrian nation in the future too. During the conflict in Syria, which began in March 2011, over 140, 000 people were killed and over 4.2 million have become refugees in Syrian territory as well as two million have fled to neighbouring countries.
