Mohamed bin Zayed meets Egyptian Prime Minister

Cairo: His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, who is currently on a fraternal visit to Cairo, met yesterday with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Hazem el-Beblawi.
The meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, touched on fraternal relations and ways to enhance them for the interest of the two countries and peoples.
Also discussed were avenues of cooperation in economic, development and investment fields and the aspirations of the leadership in the two countries for growing, mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
Sheikh Mohamed was briefed by Dr el-Beblawi on the political path undertaken by the Egyptian government to implement the road map for the future, involving all components of the Egyptian community, i8n a way that will lead to building a bright future for Egypt and maintaining the country's vital role both regionally and internationally.
Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attaches great importance to its relations with Egypt.
He added that in line with Sheikh Khalifa's directives, the UAE will continue to provide all forms of support to Egypt to serve development plans, to drive economic transformation and to enable the brotherly people of Egypt overcome challenges ahead.
"It is our duty to stand by our brothers in Egypt who are capable of overcoming the current circumstances by making the political process in this transitional phase a success." The two sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, as well as the latest regional and international developments.
For his part, Dr el-Beblawi praised UAE's initiatives towards Egypt and its people and expressed Egypt's appreciation to the UAE and its people for their noble stances.
He said UAE's current stance is an extension to the historic initiatives of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and added that Sheikh Mohamed's visit to Egypt will have a very positive impact on implementing joint initiatives and projects between the two countries. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
