Mohamed bin Zayed meets el-Sisi, reiterates U.A.E.'s support to Egypt

CAIRO: His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of U.A.E. Armed Forces has re-affirmed that U.A.E.'s support for Egypt is a firm principle. "U.A.E. was and will always be loyal to Egypt and will always be its strong supporter," said H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed in his remarks as he was received by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Sunday. H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also noted that "the relations with Egypt are historic, strategic and are supported and followed up by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in accordance with the approach founded by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, for standing for the brothers in Egypt at all times and circumstances." H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was accompanied to Cairo by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA), Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, U.A.E. Ambassador to Egypt, and Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouie, Undersecretary of the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince. H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed also conveyed to President el-Sisi greetings and congratulations from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as their best wishes for continuous security and stability for Egypt and progress and prosperity for its people. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the strong fraternal relations and cooperation between U.A.E. and Egypt. The discussions took in aspects of cooperation between U.A.E. and Egypt and ways of bolstering them in all spheres in the service of their interests and the aspirations of their peoples. They also discussed regional developments and exchanged views on a number of matters and issues of common concern. They stressed on the importance of diversifying and expanding cooperation between the two countries, in economic, investment and development avenues in particular. H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his hopes that the new Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will succeed in achieving growth for Egypt and establishing a new stage for Egypt to continue its growth and progress and its pivotal regional role. "The U.A.E. leadership's vision for Egypt focuses on the ability of the Egyptian people to fulfil their national ambitions and aspirations, continue the building of their country and achieve stability and development across their country," H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said emphasising the importance of backing Egypt's economy and enabling the country's institutions to implement their missions in order for Egypt to remain strong, stable and proud. His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also expressed his wishes for glory, welfare and continuous security and stability for Egypt. He also wished that the Egyptian people will fulfil their national ambitions aspirations for progress and dignified life. On his part, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi requested H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to convey his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and to the people of U.A.E. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
