Mohammed bin Rashid, Mexican President hold talks

Mexico City: Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum held talks with Mexican President, Enrique Pena Nieto. The discussions dealt with a number of international political and economic issues and ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries through strategic and constructive partnership in all economic and investment sectors, which are based on the joint interest of the two friendly peoples. This came when Sheikh Mohammed met with the Mexican President yesterday at Presidential Palace in Mexico City, where he was accorded an official reception in the palace yard, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister. and the accompanying delegation. Later they inspected the guard of honour on the occasion of the historic visit of the Vice President. A band played the two countries' national anthem, then Sheikh Mohammed shook hands with a number of Mexican ministers, officials and ambassadors of a number of Arab countries who attended the official reception. Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto shook hands with the accompanying delegation of Sheikh Mohammed. On the other hand, Sheikh Mohammed and Mexico's President attended the signing ceremony of a number of agreements to protect and encourage investment between the two parties. The agreements were inked by Sheikh Abdullah and Mexican Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal. At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed dedicated the Mexican President a copy of his book '' Flashes of Thought" in Spanish which is the official language of Mexico, who accepted it and thanked Sheikh Mohammed, promising he will read it in order to get familiarised on thoughts and visions of the Vice President. Sheikh Mohammed signed a photo of him with the Mexican President then he and his accompanying delegation left the Palace. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
