MONGOLIA-LAOS INTERGOV'T COMMISSION MEETING RUNS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The 9th meeting of the Mongolia-Laos intergovernmental commission of the trade, economic, sciences and technical cooperation took place Thursday in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ulaanbaatar. The two sides shared views on ways of strengthening the bilateral friendly relations and cooperation, enriching them with economic contents, widening the mutually-beneficial collaboration. The Mongolian side agreed with Laos that the tradition is to be kept such as sending Mongolian medical doctors, especially specialists, to the "Mongolia-Laos Friendship" hospital. The parties discussed matters on carrying out tree farming and processing by renting 10 thousand hectares area in Laos and leasing 20 hectares in Savannakhet province's economic free-zone for trade, productions and service purposes. During the meeting, the sides inked a protocol of the 9th meeting of the intergovernmental commission, the 2012-2016 Cooperation Programme of Science and Technological Sectors, which is established between Mongolia's Ministry of Education and Sciences and Lao's Ministry of Sciences and Technology.
