MONGOLIA OBSERVES SESSION OF NATO PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A parliamentary delegation of Mongolia led by M.Batchimeg MP is taking part as an observer in the 58th session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. It runs November 10-12 in Prague, the Czech Republic. At a meeting of the Standing committees held within the session, the president of the NATO parliamentary Assembly Mr Karl A.Lamers received the Mongolian delegation. He recalled visiting Mongolia in 2010 by invitation of Z.Enkhbold, that times head of the parliamentary Standing committee on security and foreign policy, and conveyed congratulatory messages to him on becoming the Speaker and also to L.Bold on being appointed the Foreign Minister. Ms Batchimeg noted that Mongolia become a partner country of the NATO in March this year, and said a group for the relations with the NATO Parliamentary Assembly has been set up at the State Great Khural. Then she passed to him a greeting from the Speaker. Mr Lamers said he is satisfied with an establishment of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's group at Mongolia's parliament, and highly appreciated Mongolia's efforts to ensure the regional security, to combat international terrorism, to contribute to reconstructing of Afghanistan. The two sides expressed mutual satisfactions with an intensive development of the Mongolia-NATO relations and cooperation in recent years. B.Khuder
