MONGOLIA-RUSSIA INTERGOVT'L COMMISSION MEETING APPROACHING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The 16th meeting of the Mongolia-Russia intergovernmental commission on the trade, economics, science and technical cooperation will take place December 21 in Ulaanbaatar. It will be co-chaired by D.Terbsihdagva, the Deputy Premier and head of the Mongolian part of the commission, and by Mr S.Ye.Donskoi, the Russian Minister of Natural Resource and Ecology and head of the Russian part. The sides intend to share views and information on ways of solving urgent problems facing the bilateral trade and economic cooperation, chances of Russia to engage in the biggest projects on the great constructions in Mongolia. Issues will also be discussed on augmenting benefits of the joint ventures such as the "Erdenet" Corporation, the "Mongolrostsvetmet" company and the Ulaanbaatar Railway, on ensuring sustainable supply of oil products to Mongolia, on taking assistance from Russia in developing petroleum productions in Mongolia, and on widening the cooperation in the energy sector. In addition, the sides will discuss an implementation of decisions made by the previous meeting and the regional and boundary cooperation. The sides will sign a protocol on outcome of the meeting. The Russian Minister Mr Donskoi will be received by the Premier N.Altankhuyag, will also meet with S.Oyun, the Minister of Environment and Green Development, and D.Gankhuyag, the Minister of Mining.
