MONGOLIAN SCHOLAR AWARDED

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Pursuant to decisions of the Europe Business Assembly (EBA) and the Socrates Nomination Committee, a Mongolian scholar B.Baasansuren was awarded the "Name in Science" prize in the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria, on December 18. It a recognition of the Mongolian biologist's great contribution to the development of sciences. He has been representing the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia to the Russian Sakha for some 20 years, researching a treatment of sterility by analyzing biological tissues of reindeer, and combining it with the Mongolian and Tibetan traditional medicine. "The Mongolian nomads have always had close and beneficial ties with the earth, plants and animals' life. This allowes the Mongolian scholars and scientists to deeply research the nature, to create useful things for humankind, and to propagandize Mongolia throughout the world," said Dr. Baasansuren at the ceremony.
