MPP'S PARLIAMENTARIANS HOLD MEETING

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Monday, MPs from the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) held a meeting to hear a report on a participation of the MPP's representative in the 127th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) which ran on October 21-26 in Quebec, Canada. Mongolia was represented by S.Bayartsogt, a Vice Speaker of Parliament, and Yo.Otgonbayar MP from the MPP. At the Assembly, Mr Otgonbayar raised a matter "about a restriction of the MPP's right to form its parliamentary faction". “The IPU said it will reply to this matter soon,” Yo.Otgonbayar said. The he spoke about a meeting of the Socialist International which had been held with a participation of MPs from some 40 countries who exchanged views on political situation in the member-states, and then considered some matters including a restriction of parliamentarians' rights. Then the meeting of the MPP members considered the budget discussion and draft amendments to the laws on the State Great Khural and on regime of parliament initiated by the State Head. The discussion must within this week, they said. The meeting also discussed a request of U.Khurelsukh MP to resign from his post and the cabinet's decisions. B.Khuder
