MPs: US Should Stand Accountable For Wrong Policies In Syria

Tehran, May 28, IRNA – Members of the Iranian Parliament on Monday condemned massacre of the defenseless people in Syria and said the US should stand accountable for its wrong policies in that country. In a statement read during the second session of the 9th Majlis, 248 MPs said that the brutal massacre of the defenseless people in the Syrian cities of Houla and Homs reminded all of the ruthless terrorist actions in Sabra and Shatila refugee camps which stand as the ultimate symbol of genocide. They noted that the terrorists who undoubtedly receive all kinds of support, arms and organized trainings from western countries and their regional allies arrive in the Syrian territories through borders of its neighboring countries. The MPs stressed that the US is responsible for the horrendous crime in which 32 children were killed. They also called on the United Nations Security Council to prevent dispatch of arms to Syria./end
