N.ALTANKHUYAG MEETS AUTHORITIES OF KHENTII

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag has held a meeting with authorities of Khentii aimag in frames of his working tour to eastern aimags. He met Ch.Erdenebaatar, the governor of Khentii; Ts.Lhagvasuren, a head of the Citizens' Representative Khural; authorities of some agencies and sections. He was accompanied by B.Bat-Erdene and B.Garamgaibaatar MPs elected from this province. The aimag's governor Ch.Erdenebaatar said financial and economic indicators have been steadily improving in recent years, for example, the local budget has become fully independent from 2009, a plan of budgetary income was overfulfilled by 111 per cent in 2008-2011. By September this year, the local budget accumulated MNT 6.4 billion. In 2009-2012, investments of MNT 120 billion were made in Khentii. In the last three years, investments increased in the infrastructure, road and construction sectors, some MNT 31.5 billion have been spent for the education and health sectors. The aimag's leaders also said the Citizens' Representative Khural made a decision to stop granting exploration licenses of mineral resources from 2012. After the report, the Premier gave the aimag's authorities directions on some vital issues. The authorities of Khentii proposed focusing on several actions, for example, to solve a capital of MNT 4.5 billion for constructing an infrastructure for the “New Ondorkhaan” project which launched already, to support in establishing a tourist complex of Chingis Khaan, to tackle a financial matter for a paved road to run in Ondorkhaan-Dadal direction.
