Namibian FM condemns U.S. drone incursion

TEHRAN, Dec. 12 (MNA) – Namibian Foreign Minister Utoni Nujoma condemned the recent violation of Iran’s airspace by a U.S. spy drone and said Namibia defends Iran’s territorial integrity. Nujoma made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi which was held after a meeting in Tehran on Sunday. Iran announced on December 4 that an advanced RQ-170 unmanned U.S. spy plane had been downed by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic but did not say when the incident occurred. Nujoma also said that certain Western countries are seeking to overthrow the governments that oppose their policies. He added that Namibia strongly disapproves of regime change in other countries including Syria and believes that problems should be settled through dialogue and peaceful means.
