New director general of Kazakh state media holding appointed

Astana, Kazakhstan, Jan. 14 By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend: Bolat Bersebayev was appointed director general of the Kazakh state media holding upon a decision of the only participant Nur -Media - the ruling party Nur Otan, the party's official webpage said today. Former head of the holding Yerlan Baizhanov was dismissed in connection with his transfer to another job. Nur Media holding united several state-run media outlets. Bersebayev graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. He obtained the Bolashak presidential scholarship (Schiller University, Germany), Master of Political Science. He worked in the Secretariat of the Kazakh Security Council, deputy press secretary of the Kazakh president, managing director of National Information Holding 'Arna Media', chairman of the Committee of Information and Archives of the Ministry of Communication and Information, the state inspector of the presidential administration in different years.
