New Iran`s CHTHO director appointed

TEHRAN,Jan.7(MNA) -- Seyyed Hassan Musavi was appointed as the new director of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday. Musavi was CHTHO deputy director for investment when Esfandiar Rahim-Mashaii was at the helm of the organization, the Persian service of CHN reported. CHTHO former director Ruhollah Ahmadzadeh held the position for about eight months. It was rumored that Ahmadzadeh resigned from the CHTHO early last week. The CHTHO denied the report, but the Presidential Office announced on Thursday that Ahmadzadeh’s resignation has been accepted and Musavi has been appointed to head the CHTHO. Ahmadzadeh quit his job allegedly over his disagreements with former CHTHO director Hamdreza Baqaii, who is currently the vice president for executive affairs and the caretaker of the Presidential Office.
