NEW THERMAL POWER STATION TO BE CONSTRUCTED IN BAYANZURKH

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A thermal power station with capacity of 300 MegaWatt will be established at the “US-15” heating furnace in the 1st khoroo (the smallest administrative unit in UB) of the city's Bayanzurkh district. At its regular meeting held on Saturday, the cabinet made a decision to establish the thermal power station, and then gave obligations to N.Batbayar, the Minister of Economic Development; and Ch.Ulaan, the Minister of Finance to solve a financial matter of MNT 200 million to be spent for working out a technical and economic justification. Another order was given to E.Bat-Uul, the capital city Mayor; M.Sonompil, the Minister of Energy; and S.Ouyn, the Minister of Environment and Green Development to study situation of setting free the land for the thermal power station and erecting new infrastructure.
