By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:
Some 142 participants of the May Day marches, accused of provocation against the policemen, were arrested in Istanbul and Ankara, the Turkish newspaper Sabah reported on May 2.
Some 90 people, including 13 police officers, were injured as a result of the clashes among policemen and march participants.
Celebrating May Day in Turkey - International Workers' Day has been banned for 32 years. In April 2010 the ruling Justice and Development Party cancelled a ban on holding May Day marches.
