Pakistani Lawmaker Praises Iran’s Islamic Revolution

Islamabad, Feb 6, IRNA – A Pakistani law maker on Tuesday praised the development of Iran since the success of 1979 Islamic Revolution. Talking to IRNA, Senator of Pakistan Muslim League-N Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq congratulated people and government of Iran on the 34th anniversary of Islamic Revolution. He prayed for the stability of the Islamic Republic of Iran. “I wish that Iran would continue to progress in the same pace,” he said. He was of the view that Iran has become a role model for other Muslim countries. “Iran has emerged as a symbol of resilience,” he noted. The lawmaker noted Iran had to face several challenges after the Islamic Revolution but they have acquitted themselves from all the challenges successfully. Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq said that Islamic Revolution is a great event in the history and had a profound impact not on Iran but on the whole world. ˈThe Revolution was so powerful that it had changed the entire course of Iranian historyˈ, he said. The politician said that fruits of Islamic Revolution of Iran can be seen in the whole Islamic world. He said that Islamic Revolution has been the source of inspiration for Islamic movements in the Arab world. Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq paid homage to founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini, adding that Imam Khomeini is a beacon for the Muslim Ummah. He said that the Revolution is the outcome of the struggle of Imam Khomeini against the western powers. The Senator, expressing his opinion, said that Islamic Revolution has put Iran on the path of progress and development. ‘Today, Iran is progressing in all fields,’ said the Parliamentarian. The lawmaker said that conspiracies to weaken Islamic Revolution have been failed miserably. The Senator said Pakistan and Iran have very special relations. “Especially after the Islamic Revolution we have the best of the relations,” he added./end
