Phone talks held regarding next Iran, P5+1 meeting

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 13 /Trend S.Isayev, T. Jafarov/ Assistant to Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili, Ali Bagheri and EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton's assistant Helga Schmid held phone talks regarding the next meeting between Iran and P5+1 group, ISNA reported. The diplomats said it is not yet clear, if the negotiations would be held before or after the New Year. "We hope soon to continue negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program, and address international concerns, and try to find a diplomatic solution to the problem," Office of Catherine Ashton, Europe Union foreign policy chief said in a statement. The U.S. and Israel suspect Iran of making a nuclear bomb, a statement that Iran denies, claiming its nuclear program is completely peaceful, oriented for medical and research purposes.
