PM visits Lop Buri
LOP BURI, Sept 7 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha today led cabinet ministers to Lop Buri province.
He said the visit was to follow up government work, not to campaign for votes.
Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Chatchai Sarikulya, Interior Minister Anupong Paojinda and Prime Minister’s Office Minister Kobsak Pootrakul, Gen Prayut went to King Narai’s Palace in Muang district and met local people who dressed in Thai traditional clothing.
He told the people that he felt as if he returned home because he had lived in Lop Buri with his parents who had been in government service in the province. He said Lop Buri was an area of cultures, peace and safety as there were many military and government offices.
The prime minister insisted that he was not visiting Lop Buri for a political purpose but he was studying local problems to solve people’s poverty.
He also told the people who welcomed him in Lop Buri that the military was not an enemy of people but was the one who were working for the nation, religions, the monarchy and people.
The prime minister also visited an exhibition on government services and projects in Lop Buri and went to the Khao Phra Ngam municipal office to inspect health care services for people with chronic illnesses and the elderly. (TNA)
