POLICE DELEGATION VISITS TURKEY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A delegation headed by B.Bilegt, a Chief Officer of the General Police Department, visited the Republic of Turkey by invitation of Mr Mehmet Kilichlar, the General Director of Turkish National Police, on December 12-17. The two sides discussed ways of expanding a cooperation between the two police organizations and also about the assistance the Turkish side can give their Mongolian counterparts. The delegation visited the affiliated departments of the Turkish National Policy such as Inspection board, Police academy, Intelligence Department, also Interpol, Europol, Anti-smuggling and Organized crimes and Training Services. The Mongolian cadets has been studying in the Turkish Police academy since 1997. Some 42 have graduated so far. At present, 26 are studying for bachelor degree, ten for doctor's, 332 people has participated in 23 short-term trainings. The Turkish National Police was founded in 1845. Now it has 240 thousand staffs, is cooperating with police's department of 67 countries. Ch.Enkhtuya
