PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF LOCAL ELECTIONS REVEALED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The General Election Commission (GEC) released on Wednesday an official report on preliminary results of the elections of the Citizens' Representative Khural of aimags, soums and city's districts that ran November 21. The report is given lawfully, in a week period after the voting. Main feature is that a ballot will run again in some of the city's districts due to incomplet votes, the GEC head Ch.Sodnomtseren added. According to the preliminary results, the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) got 16 seats, Democratic Party (DP)--20, and the "Justice" coalition (Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party and National Democratic Party)--one seat out of 37 mandates in Arkhangai aimag; MPP--12 seats, DP--20 seats and “Justice”--one seat out of 33 mandates in Bayan-Olgii; 15, 25 and "Justice" coalition one seat out of 41 seats in Bayankhongor; 14 seats, 17 and "Justice" coalition two seats out of 33 mandates in Bulgan; 21, 12 and two independent candidates out of 35 mandates in Gobi-Altai; nine, seven and "Justice" coalition one seat out of 17 mandates in Gobisumber; ten, 16 and "Justice" coalition one seat out of 27 mandates in Dornogobi; 18, 14 seats, Civil Will-Green Party one seat and two independent candidates out of 35 mandates in Dornod; 19, 15 and "Justice" coalition one out of 35 mandates in Dundgobi; 28 and 13 seats out of 41 mandates in Zavkhan; 24, 16 and "Justice" coalition one out of 41 mandates in Ovorkhangai; 11, 21 and "Justice" coalition one out of 33 mandates in Omnogobi; eight, 25 seats out of 33 mandates in Sukhbaatar; 20, 14 and "Justice" coalition three seats out of 37 mandates in Selenge; 18, 20 and "Justice" coalition three out of 41 mandates in Tov; 15, 25 and "Justice" coalition one out of 41 mandates in Uvs; 14, 26 and "Justice" coalition one out of 41 mandates in Khovd; 23 and18 seats out of 41 mandates in Khovsgol; 14 and 25 seats out of 41 mandates in Khentii; 18, 11 and "Justice" coalition two and one independent candidate out of 33 mandates in Darkhan-Uul; and MPP--seven, DP--19 seats and "Civil Justice" coalition of the MPRP and Civil Will-Green Party two seats out of 31 mandates in Orkhon. In the city for the time being, the MPP gained 13 seats and DP 12 out of 25 mandates in Baganuur district; the MPP--12 seats and the DP five seats out of 17 mandates in Bagakhangai district; the MPP--11 seats, the DP--12 seats and "Justice" coalition--two seats out of 25 mandates in Nalaikh district.
