PRESIDENT RECEIVES KAZAKHSTAN AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj has congratulated Mr Orman K.Nurbayev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia, on the Independence Day of Kazakhstan, and noted about the 20th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations celebrated this year. The State Head said it Thursday at a meeting with Mr Nurbayev who has completed the diplomatic mission here. Mr Elbegdorj also congratulated Kazakhstan on winning the bid of the EXPO 2017 International Exhibition. The State head highlighted Mongolia's support to Kazakhstan's effort to make Central Asia a nuclear weapon-free region and to ensure the regional security. He said Mongolia-Kazakhstan intergovernmental commission meeting has been scheduled the next year, it will discuss the bilateral trade and economic issues. He expressed a hope that Kazakhstan will enter an agreement on developing landlocked countries. Mr Elbegdorj said Mongolia aspires to cooperate with Kazakhstan in frames of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and recalled how he had considered the bilateral cooperation matters with his counterpart of Kazakhstan Mr N.Nazarbayev during the London Olympics' opening ceremony. Another matter, about the receivable related to the "Erdenet" Corporation will be tackled soon, the President hoped. In response, Mr Nurbayev expressed satisfaction with his five-year diplomatic mission in Mongolia. He promised to pay a great attention to the Mongolia-Kazakhstan relations and cooperation, and hoped he will come back later. B.Khuder
