Prominent politician dies in Iran

Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 31 / Trend T. Jafarov / A member of the Iranian Advisory Council and one of the prominent politicians of the country, Hassan Ibrahim Habibi, died today at the age of 75, the Iranian news agency İRNA said on Thursday. Habibi was the first deputy of former president Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani and Mohammad Khatami from 1989 to 2001. Moreover, at various points of time, he served as Minister of Culture, Minister of Education and Attorney General.
