Putin and Obama to meet in United States on mutual agreement - Peskov

MOSCOW, September 24 /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Barack Obama will meet on mutual agreement. "The meeting will take place on mutual agreement," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Thursday when asked whom the initiative had come from. Peskov noted the meeting would last from 50 to 60 minutes after Putin’s speech at the 70th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 28. According to Peskov, Syria will dominate the Putin-Obama meeting. The Ukraine crisis, however, may also be part of agenda. "Naturally, Syria is the priority," the Kremlin spokesperson stressed. He added the two leaders would discuss the Ukraine crisis only if they had time. The "Normandy Four" leaders will hold the main discussion on Ukraine in Paris on October 2. Read more
