Putin, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi discuss cooperation in struggle against terrorism

MOSCOW, April 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the United Arab Emirates’ armed forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahayan have discussed Russia-OAE cooperation in the struggle against terrorism. "It is very important to exchange information with you about the situation in the region and discuss what we can do together in the struggle against international terrorism," Putin said. Mohammed Al Nahayan agreed that this theme was crucial. "There are many challenges in the region of the Middle East and I hope to discuss them today," he said. Putin suggested identifying plans for cooperation in the economy. "Over the past year we managed to overcome negative trends in mutual trade," he said. Moscow attaches great importance to its relations with the UAE. This cooperation "is based on friendship and respect for each other’s interests." Sheikh Mohammed Al Nahayan confirmed that Abu Dhabi was determined to advance privileged relations with Russia. Read more
