'Qods Force is vanguard in campaign against terrorism’

TEHRAN, Nov. 8 (MNA) -- Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi described the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps as the vanguard in the campaign against terrorism and devoted soldiers who expose the plots of the U.S. government and the Zionists. Vahidi made the remarks in response to some U.S. congressmen’s allegations about the Qods Force and their calls for the assassination of the Qods Force commander. Iranians are certain that the fear-mongering rhetoric about terrorism used by U.S. congressmen does not conform with the views of the people of the United States, Vahidi said in Tehran on Sunday. We have heard the actual voice of the American people through the Occupy Wall Street movement, which is trying to bring an end to the country’s tyrannical system, Vahidi added. The ominous triangle of terrorism, human rights violations, and the use of weapons of mass destruction has its roots in the anti-humanist policies of the United States, Vahidi said. The U.S. is using this evil triangle to materialize its illegitimate goals and is trying to ascribe its policies and measures to others through psychological projection, he opined. They are making false allegations and counterfeiting documents for a preplanned scenario in order to create hostility between Iran and neighboring countries, and at the same time they are calling for the assassination of the commander of Iran’s Qods Force, Vahidi said. The world’s animosity toward Washington and the emergence of the 99 percent movement in the country are responses to the United States’ immoral and anti-humanist policies, he stated. All the treachery and interference and open and clandestine terrorist actions of the United States must be addressed by impartial international organizations, and these organizations must be asked to sign a petition in support of the downtrodden masses, Vahidi said.
