Rebel Houthi-Saleh militia killed 1277 civilians in Taez: report

ADEN, 4th January 2016 (WAM) --- The rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to now-ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh killed 1277 civilians, inlcluding133 were children and 65 women, in Taez Governorates between the onset of the war and the end of December 2015, the Yemeni Coalition to Monitor Human Rights Violations said in a new report. The rebels' indiscriminate bombardment of residential areas in Taez also left 7626 civilians, including 686 children and 231 women, injured in, the report said. The rebels also abducted 214 people including 93 activists, 45 politicians and 4 journalists. The bombardment destroyed the premises of 172 government institutions, including 55 schools and 21 medical facilities.
