Rodong Sinmun Denounces Joint Military Exercises of U.S. and S. Korean Warmongers

Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an article brands Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military exercises as the worst military provocation to the DPRK and part of the moves to stifle it and their climax as they are now under way under the simulated conditions of a preemptive nuclear strike at it. The U.S. and its south Korean stooges never wish to see the inter-Korean relations improve to pave the way for peace and independent reunification, the article notes, and goes on: The U.S. has pursued aggression of the DPRK and supremacy in Northeast Asia. It seeks to further justify its military presence in the region by escalating the confrontation and tension between the north and the south and contain the countries around the Korean peninsula. Meanwhile, the group of traitors in south Korea are bedeviling the inter-Korean relations in collusion with foreign forces and making desperate efforts to stifle the fellow countrymen in the north and realize the wild ambition to "bring down its social system" under this pretext. They are, however, sadly mistaken. If they show even a slight sign of operation to infringe upon the dignity of the supreme leadership and sovereignty of the DPRK, all its striking means will blow up the strongholds of aggression at a single blow. -0-
