Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. Deceptive Theory of "Threat from North Korea"

Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, Radio Sputnik of Russia raised a question why the U.S. is set to bolster its armed forces deployed in south Korea. It reported that a Russian expert commented that the U.S. is not expanding its military bases owing to the ever-growing threat from north Korea, the U.S. plans to turn south Korea into its overseas military base in a bid to contain geopolitical rival nations, and that the U.S. theory of "threat from north Korea" is no more than a pretext to justify its arms buildup". Rodong Sinmun Tuesday says in a commentary in this regard: The U.S. is attempting to meet its interests under the pretext of the "threat" from the DPRK. It is a strategy of the U.S. successive ruling quarters to put the Asia-Pacific region under its control and make the world its unipolar world.
